Source One offers reverse auction and RFx free

I don’t know why, but I got the feeling Open Source applications will take-off more and more. Currently, it is still difficult to find a lot of alternative or ‘best of breed’ open source applications covering eSourcing. I am ready to bet it will change. Anyway, I was searching for this kind of stuff and land on a SpendMatters’ post about Source One, a procurement consultancy that has released a free reverse auction application that anyone can use by logging onto www.whyabe.com.

It looks like this application is not using the latest technology – according to the comments I read – but what a chance it is for the ones not yet familiar with this topic. Remember, 6 years ago, running a multi-million reverse-auction cost up to… 200.000 euros, sometimes.
