Aberdeen Supply Management research is undertaking a new survey about the procurement of marketing materials and services. I received the following notice today:

Corporate spend around marketing (including print, marketing and advertising media and services) is significant within organizations, driving efforts to reduce costs in this complex category of spend. Approximately 40% of enterprises previously reported having poor visibility into expenditure around this category and another 31% have multiple functions or departments involved in purchasing printing needs.

Our new benchmark study will show that a more centralized approach to the management and procurement of this category combined with more formal processes and a higher level of automation will help enterprises realize cost savings on print, marketing and advertising materials and services and reduce or eliminate the multiple buying methods for the category. Aberdeen would like your insights into this crucial area of spend.
