The news came out yesterday: Capgemini Group today announced its acquisition of on-demand purchasing solutions provider IBX and with it, the availability of the industry’s first global end-to-end, Procurement-as-a-Service offering. Last month, I’ve been delighted to meet for the first time the french Executive Manager of Synertrade, Patrick Chabannes, following online exchanges we had about Synertrade’s lack of communication some times ago. We got an extensive and pleasant conversation sharing our views on the eSourcing market, its maturity, its contradictions, and of course about Synertrade [...]

Today, cc-hubwoo announced its 07Q4 results: 32,6M€ revenues, which means 1,8% growth, almost none. Not surprisingly, stocks went down by 3,95%. shall it be reminded that Alain Andreoli’s plan for 2007 was to reach 44M€ (see my post comparing cc-hubwoo and IBX). cc-hubwoo being far behind its objectives and its growth being almost nil, even [...]

IBX undisclosed its 07Q4 newsletter and confirmed its ambition to reach 34M€ revenue at year-end, as forecasted initially. Wow, this is a great, impressive and steady two-digit growth rate for 2007. Have a look at the graph below, it might speak to you more than any word.

On the other side and in the meantime (sept. [...]

7 months ago from now I was writing on this blog “Even a ‘loose-partnership’ like Hubwoo – Procuri doesn’t make sense to me: interlocutors for e-Procurement are not the same as interlocutors for eSourcing and in general, nobody likes to hear they have to use a specific application here because they have this other application [...]

“Sho(pping) time!” After Mobile Worker, it’s Verticalnet’s turn to loose its independence, being in the process of being acquired by BravoSolution, an Italcimenti’s subsidiary. The acquisition will give birth to a EUR40 Million Spend Management Solutions provider, with good presence in US and Europe. Another good move from BravoSolution, as the cost of the [...]

Right, it’s only my point of view. Anyone can think differently and believe that the value of the merger lies on the synergies of the 2 companies, but I don’t myself, motivated by following arguments:
- The functional coverage of the 2 apps offered by Ariba and Procuri is more or less similar,
- The growth [...]
